May Reflection
As we wrap up our final month working with the U13, U14, and U15 players at Carolina Core FC Academy, I find myself reflecting on what has truly made this inaugural year so meaningful.
The work is fulfilling. I genuinely love the opportunity to invest in our youth. I find joy in helping young student-athletes grow in character, discipline, and leadership. At the center of this work is our character education programming that is creating a space for meaningful conversations and challenging these young student-athletes to think about the kind of person they want to become. Watching them engage, reflect, and grow through this process has been incredibly rewarding.
One of the brightest spots has been the partnership with Carolina Core, the relationships that have been built, the support we have received, and the volunteers who have so generously given their time and attention to these young athletes.
As Goal 13 continues to grow, I’m looking forward to expanding this work with new partners who share a commitment to developing strong character in young student-athletes. The opportunity to reach more athletes and continue this momentum is something I’m incredibly excited about.
Looking forward to what’s ahead.
